General Restorative Dentistry We welcome you and your family to our practice. We are pleased you considered us for your dental needs. Today's dentistry is for everyone who wants to enjoy a lifetime of smiles. I thought it would be a good idea to send this brief welcome letter to tell you a little bit about our practice and myself. If you would give me just a minute of your time, this will be quick and "painless". I am originally from New England -- specifically Rhode Island (hence the strange accent). I attended college at Brandeis University in Massachusetts and the University of Pennsylvania Dental School. I have been practicing all phases of general dentistry since 1992. Ana, my wife, and I decided to move to Pennsylvania in late 1999. We reside with our two sons, Matthew and Phillip, in Hummelstown. While remodeling the inside of the office building, I decided to incorporate many advanced technologies to create a cozy, yet efficient, comfortable environment. Please take notice of our virtual fish tank, warm fireplace and choice of music or TV while waiting or being treated. The use of sunglasses during treatment is optional and can help reduce light glare and protect the eyes from water spray. The recent addition of a surgical microscope allows precise treatment in a magnified field of vision and offers the patient the option to watch the dentistry live. I continue to participate with insurance. Insurance participation can create many burdens for any dental office, some of which are not readily apparent from the perspective of the patient. In order to devote more of our administrative and clinical time to you, we have installed computers in each operatory to help facilitate less time waiting to check-in and check-out and to keep most conversations private. Your time is just as important as ours. Our general payment policy involves billing the insurance company for covered expenses. Please take the time to review your insurance policy prior to your visit, since some procedures will require a co-payment and/or deductible payment at the time of service. Insurance is never a guarantee of payment. In the event the insurance company does not pay for services rendered, the account holder will be responsible for the balance. For your convenience, we accept credit card payments. If you have questions regarding any treatment or fees, we encourage you to call us promptly. We hope that we can give you plenty to smile about!
