Franklin Lenker, reared at Lenkerbrook, the family farm, Dauphin
County Pennsylvania, is a graduate of Lebanon Valley College; a World
War II pilot, and since his retirement from the Dairy Industry has
begun to pursue a full time painting, teaching and lecturing career.
Dave has exhibited in juried shows and has won
numerous awards. He has conducted workshops in the greater Central
Pennsylvania area and his prints and originals hang in many galleries
throughout the United States.
Past President of the Art Association of
Harrisburg, and a member in the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, Dave
has studied with J. Wesley Gable, Betty Snow, Nick Ruggieri, Reginald
Watkins, Arthur Barbour, Ray loos and Al Broulette.
Most of his watercolors subjects are indigenous
to rural Pennsylvania or reflect his interpretations of his journeys
to the Eastern Seashore, Arizona, Bermuda, Hawaii and Europe. |
