David Franklin Lenker, reared at Lenkerbrook, the family farm, Dauphin County Pennsylvania, is a graduate of Lebanon Valley College; a World War II pilot, and since his retirement from the Dairy Industry has begun to pursue a full time painting, teaching and lecturing career.

Dave has exhibited in juried shows and has won numerous awards. He has conducted workshops in the greater Central Pennsylvania area and his prints and originals hang in many galleries throughout the United States.

Past President of the Art Association of Harrisburg, and a member in the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, Dave has studied with J. Wesley Gable, Betty Snow, Nick Ruggieri, Reginald Watkins, Arthur Barbour, Ray loos and Al Broulette.

Most of his watercolors subjects are indigenous to rural Pennsylvania or reflect his interpretations of his journeys to the Eastern Seashore, Arizona, Bermuda, Hawaii and Europe.
